सनातन अर्थात हिन्दू धर्म क्या है............. !

         

        मानव कुछ ना कुछ विशेष गुण धर्म के साथ विकसित होता है। जब विज्ञान की ओर मनुष्य का ध्यान ही नहीं था पाषाण से लौह, और फिर लौह से अन्य धातु युग तक की यात्रा बिना किसी अनुशासनिक प्रणाली के संभव नहीं है। चाहे वह सामाजिक व्यवस्था हो या फिर कबीले में रहने की व्यवस्था। और यही जीवन व्यवस्था उसे यानी मनुष्य जाति को आवश्यकता और उसकी पूर्ति के लिए अन्वेषण एवं अविष्कार की प्रेरणा देती है। अति आवश्यक है कि हम धर्म के इस बिंदु को अवश्य पढ़ें। और जाने कि किन परिस्थितियों में मनुष्य ने अपने आप को आदिम युग से सभ्य मानव के रूप में विकसित कर दिया…?

        धर्म की परिभाषाओं को आपने देखा भी होगा । यहां फिर से लिखने की जरूरत नहीं है। फिर भी मैं अपने नजरिए से धर्म को क्या समझता हूं वह बता देता हूं मौजूदा परिभाषा भी प्रस्तुत हैं ।

1.  मेरे नज़रिए से धर्म-"ईश्वरीय आस्था युक्त परिवर्तनशील वैज्ञानिक प्रक्रिया है..!°

2.  धर्म में जड़त्व तो नहीं बल्कि प्रगति शीलता के बिंदुओं का समावेश होता है और ये बिंदु रिचुअल्स और मानवतावादी दृष्टिकोण के साथ सिंक्रोनाइज होते हैं, ऐसा व्यक्ति ही धार्मिक कहलाता है जो स्वयं से पृथक एक शक्ति को स्वीकार करता है उस शक्ति को ब्रह्म अथवा ईश्वर तत्व की संज्ञा दी जाती है।

3.  धर्म देश काल परिस्थिति के अनुसार लागू होता है, क्योंकि उसकी प्रकृति ही परिवर्तनशील है।

4.  ईश्वर के अस्तित्व को स्वीकार ने वाला धर्म की परिभाषा को समझ सकता है ।जो ईश्वर के अस्तित्व को स्वीकार करता है वह कुछ प्रक्रियाओं का पालन करता है ।

5.  केवल पूजा प्रणाली ही धर्म नहीं है। किंतु पूजा प्रणाली धर्म का एक हिस्सा है। ऋग्वेद इसका सबसे अच्छा उदाहरण है। जहां जो देता है अर्थात वह देवता है और ऋग्वेद के मंत्रों जिसे हम ऋचा कहते हैं अर्थ को समझना होगा। हवन या यज्ञ एक और वायुमंडल की शुद्धता का प्रयोग है तो दूसरी ओर जीवन यापन के लिए प्राप्त होने वाले संसाधनों के लिए उन देने वाले यानी देवताओं के प्रति कृतज्ञता का ज्ञापन भी है। वेद में उस सरस्वती नदी का जिक्र आया है, जो वर्तमान में विलुप्त है उसी देवता माना है तो उसे यज्ञ के माध्यम से आहुतियां देने का अनुमान लगाया गया जबकि वेदों में जिस सरस्वती का देवी स्वरूप आह्वान किया गया है वह बुद्धि के दाता सरस्वती यानी शारदा है ना कि सरस्वती। इससे इस बात की पुष्टि होती है कि नदियां जीवित होती हैं ना कि देव स्वरूप। इसकी पुष्टि में विद्वान आचार्य मृगेंद्र विनोद जी द्वारा प्रस्तुत विवरणों को देखा जाए तो पता चलता है कि सरस्वती नदी का यज्ञ नदी के तट पर जाकर ही किया जाता था और यह लगभग 18 वर्ष में पूर्ण होता था ना कि यज्ञ आहुति के द्वारा सरस्वती नदी का आह्वान किया जाता था।

6.  धर्म में मान्यताओं को देश काल परिस्थितियों के अनुसार  बदलाव की सुविधा मौजूद है ।

7.  धर्म किसी संस्थान का डॉक्ट्रिन नहीं होता। आप सोचते होंगे कि ईश्वर की आराधना करने की प्रक्रिया डॉक्ट्रिन नहीं है ..? प्रक्रिया डॉक्ट्रिन है पर धर्म डॉक्ट्रिन नहीं है। जैसे आपके शरीर में बहुत सारे अंग है परंतु अंग आप नहीं है बल्कि आप अपने अंगों का समुच्चय हैं। धर्म क्योंकि प्रक्रिया नहीं है घर एक अवधारणा है और उस अवधारणा को करने समझने देखने के लिए प्रक्रियाओं की जरूरत होती है अतः केवल प्रक्रिया ही धर्म नहीं हो सकती।

8.  चलिये  हम  विचार करतें हैं कि हम  सनातनी है अर्थात हम  हिंदू धर्म के मानने वाले हैं । इसका अर्थ यह है कि सनातन व्यवस्था में एक व्यवस्था जो आस्था के साथ ईश्वर पर विश्वास करती है उस तक (ईश्वर तक) पहुंचने के प्रयत्नों को बल देती है ।

अस्तु यह यह कहना और मानना ही होगा कि :- "धर्म एक व्यवस्था है जो आस्था के साथ नैसर्गिक है। सनातन है अर्थात कंटीन्यूअस है और इसमें मानवता के घटक देश काल परिस्थिति के अनुसार समावेशित होते रहते हैं ।"

     सनातन में रूढ़िवाद मौजूद नहीं है, अगर कोई रूढ़ि नज़र आए तो उसे सांप्रदायिक या पंथगत ही होगी  । सनातन का बड़ी नदी का प्रांजल प्रवाह है जिसमें कई छोटी नदियां क्रमशः शामिल होती जाती हैं और मुख्य नदी किसी भी सहायक नदी का विरोध नहीं करती। रूढ़ियां सनातन धर्म में बाधा उत्पन्न कर सकती हैं, अतः सनातन में विमर्श या वार्ताएं होती हैं यही वार्ताएं अंतिम निर्णय पर पहुंचती है ऐसे निर्णय बाधाओं को तोड़ते हैं।

         ऐसा लगता है यहां रूढ़ियों की परिभाषा देने की जरूरत नहीं है आप जानते हैं रूढ़ियाँ क्या होतीं हैं ? परंतु एक तथ्य यह है कि सनातन रूढ़ियों को तोड़ता है, अत: सनातन अपेक्षाकृत अधिक या कि पूर्णत: सहिष्णु है । सनातन  विकल्प की मौजूदगी को स्वीकारता है। उदाहरण के तौर पर एक कहावत है- फूल नहीं तो फूल की पत्ती चढ़ा दीजिए प्रभु प्रसन्न हो जाएंगे। इस कथन का अर्थ है कि विकल्पों को उपयोग में लाया जाए ।

 मनु स्मृति के अनुसार धर्म की परिभाषा

        धार्यते इति धर्म:" अर्थात जो धारण किया जाये वह धर्म हैं अथवा लोक परलोक के सुखों की सिद्धि के हेतु सार्वजानिक पवित्र गुणों और कर्मों का धारण व सेवन करना धर्म हैं। दूसरे शब्दों में यह भी कह सकते हैं की मनुष्य जीवन को उच्च व पवित्र बनाने वाली ज्ञानानुकुल जो शुद्ध सार्वजानिक मर्यादा पद्यति हैं वह धर्म हैं।

        चलिए अब धर्म की कुछ परिभाषाओं को देखते हैं-"धर्म का परिभाषा क्या हैं?"

धर्म संस्कृत भाषा का शब्द हैं जोकि धारण करने वाली धृ धातु से बना हैं। "धार्यते इति धर्म:" अर्थात जो धारण किया जाये वह धर्म हैं। अथवा लोक परलोक के सुखों की सिद्धि के हेतु सार्वजानिक पवित्र गुणों और कर्मों का धारण व सेवन करना धर्म हैं। दूसरे शब्दों में यहभी कह सकते हैं की मनुष्य जीवन को उच्च व पवित्र बनाने वाली ज्ञानानुकुल जो शुद्ध सार्वजानिक मर्यादा पद्यति हैं वह धर्म हैं। यह भी ध्यान देने योग्य है कि- "धृति: क्षमा दमोअस्तेयं शोचं इन्द्रिय निग्रह:  धीर्विद्या सत्यमक्रोधो दशकं धर्म लक्षणं (मनु स्मृति)

जैमिनी मीमांसा दर्शन के दूसरे सूत्र में धर्म का लक्षण हैं लोक परलोक के सुखों की सिद्धि के हेतु गुणों और कर्मों में प्रवृति की प्रेरणा धर्म के लक्षण  हैं।

वैदिक साहित्य में धर्म वस्तु व्यक्ति समष्टि  के स्वाभाविक गुण तथा कर्तव्यों के अर्थों में  जैसे जलाना और प्रकाश करना अग्नि जैसे बिंदुओं को धर्म माना हैं तो प्रजा का पालन और रक्षण राजा का धर्म तथा राजाज्ञा का पालन करना प्रजा का धर्म बताया गया है ।

आध्यात्मिक संदर्भों में व्यक्ति में अंतर्निहित भावों जैसे धैर्य,क्षमा, मन को प्राकृतिक प्रलोभनों बचाव, हरण का त्याग, शौच शुद्धता, इन्द्रिय निग्रह, बुद्धि एवम ज्ञान, विद्या, सत्य, अक्रोध आदि को धर्म के लक्षण के रूप में निरूपण किया है। सदाचार परम धर्म हैं

महाभारत में कहा है कि-

  "धारणाद धर्ममित्याहु:,धर्मो धार्यते प्रजा:..!

    अर्थात जो धारण योग्य है फलतः

    जिसे प्रजाएँ धारण करती हैं- धर्म हैं।"

कणाद ने धर्म का लक्षण यह किया हैं- "यतोअभयुद्य निश्रेयस सिद्धि: स धर्म:" अर्थात सामष्टिक रुप से सामाजिक अभ्युदय यानी विकास जिसे अंग्रेजी में डेवलपमेंट कहां गया है । वह धर्म है और आराधना योग आदि प्रणालियों को अपनाकर आत्मोत्तथान करने की प्रक्रिया धर्म का लक्षण है।

स्वामी दयानंद के अनुसार धर्म की परिभाषा -जो पक्षपात रहित न्याय सत्य का ग्रहण, असत्य का सर्वथा परित्याग रूप आचार हैं उसी का नाम धर्म और उससे विपरीत का अधर्म हैं

स्वामी जी कहते हैं कि "पक्षपात रहित न्याय आचरण सत्य भाषण आदि युक्त जो ईश्वर आज्ञा वेदों से अ-विरुद्ध हैं, उसको धर्म मानता हूँ ! महर्षि दयानंद धर्म के पालन के लिए किए गए कार्यों और कृत कार्य के लिए प्राण उत्सर्ग तक प्रस्तुत रहने के धर्म को स्वीकार करने का आग्रह करते हैं।

           कार्ल मार्क्स ने  सनातन धर्म के दार्शनिक पक्ष यहां तक कि लाक्षणिक पक्ष को पढ़ा/समझा  ही नहीं था । कार्ल मार्क्स नास्तिक थे जो उनकी च्वाइस थी । वे चर्च के राजनीतिक प्रभाव एवम हस्तक्षेप के विरुद्ध थे । वे संप्रदाय के डाक्ट्रिनस के नजदीक ज्यादा रहे हैं, इसलिए उन्होंने धर्म को अफीम की संज्ञा दी है। अगर कार्ल मार्क्स भारतीय दर्शन को समझ ही लेते तो इस वाक्य का जन्म ना होता जिस का दुरुपयोग आयातित विचारधारा के पैरोकार वामपंथ द्वारा भारत में किया जाता है ।

धर्म की परिभाषाएं लाक्षणिक  हैं । धर्म को लक्षणों एवम उसमें शामिल सात्विक प्रक्रियाओं के जरिए पहचाना जा सकता है।

    सुधि पाठकों धर्म Dharm एक वह शब्द है जो Religion से अलग है ।

  Oxford dictionary एवम हिंदी डिक्शनरी  में से धर्म Dharma शब्द को religion अर्थात संप्रदाय के रूप में नहीं रखना चाहिए। धर्म और संप्रदाय शब्द मूल रूप से प्रथक प्रथक हैं ।

क्या ब्रह्मा चेलानी ने सही कहा न्यायालय के आदेश बारे में

ब्रह्मा चेलानी जी ने ट्वीट करके सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश पर एक बहुत ऐसी टिप्पणी की है जिसे समझने की अब जरूरत है।

  सिद्धांत: यह बात बिल्कुल सही है . लेकिन चेलानी साहब यह जानते ही होंगे कि-" न्यायपालिका कार्यपालिका और व्यवस्थापिका का अंतिम उद्देश्य  भारतीय नागरिकों को सुरक्षित रखना। और अगर तीनों के द्वारा राष्ट्रहित में कोई निर्णय लिया जाता है उसे कटघरे में खड़ा करना ठीक नहीं है।

  ट्विटर पर दिल्ली में प्रदूषण के संदर्भ में टि्वटर पर की गई उनकी टिप्पणी विचारणीय है। इस टिप्पणी के दो पहलू हैं। एक तो वह न्यायपालिका को अपनी परिधि के संबंध में संकेत देना चाहते हैं। दूसरा न्यायपालिका के बढ़ते हुए हस्तक्षेप पर प्रश्न भी उठाते हैं। यद्यपि वे प्रदूषण के संदर्भ में स्पष्ट रूप से बहुत अधिक नहीं बोल रहे प्रतीत होते हैं।

   भारत के एक महत्वपूर्ण व्यक्तित्व श्री ब्रह्मा का ऐसा कथन एक वैचारिक सलाह के रूप समझा जा सकता है। इसे ऐसा समझना भी चाहिए। परंतु न्यायालय जब लोकहित में काम करते हैं तो उस पर गाहे-बगाहे टिप्पणी करना ठीक नहीं। अक्सर दिल्ली के वातावरण को देखकर लगता है कि वास्तव में वहां की व्यवस्थापिका और कार्यपालिका अपने दायित्व को निर्वहन करने में जहां हस्तक्षेप का अवसर देती है तो हस्तक्षेप किया जाना चाहिए। प्रदूषण के संदर्भ में तो दिल्ली में कोई कार्य योजना नहीं बना रखी है। दिल्ली प्रदूषण की रोकथाम के लिए केवल प्रयोगशाला की तरह इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है ऐसी स्थिति में न्यायलय का हस्तक्षेप प्रभावित और अवश्यंभावी है।

   फिलहाल न्यायालय ने जो कहा वह लोक कल्याणकारी अनुदेश माना जा सकता है। चेलानी साहब अपनी ट्वीट पर पुनर्विचार कर सकने के लिए स्वतंत्र है।
